What if it's raining on my service day?On inclement weather days that include rain, thunder, lightning or high wind, limited service is provided to protect the safety of the technician. This limited service includes emptying of skimmers, pump baskets, and chemicals as is possible. Normal service fees apply.

When am I billed?Services for the upcoming month are invoiced on the 1st of the month via email unless otherwise arranged. Payments are due by the 15th of the same month payable by check, credit card, or bank transfer. There is a link in the emailed invoice to pay by credit card or bank transfer. Checks can be mailed to the address above. Any payments not received within 45 days of the due date will result in services being suspended until the account is brought current.

What are your hours?Business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. We are closed Saturday and Sunday, however if you have an issue we do monitor the phones 24 hours a day. You can call or text. Leave a message and we will get back to you.

Are you open on holidays?The following weeks are observed for vacation and technician training. The office will be open for emergencies only. Normal monthly charges apply. Week of and including Thanksgiving Week between and including Christmas and New Year’s Day Make Waves Pool and Spa Service observes the following national holidays and will be closed; service will still be provided 48 hours prior to or after these days: Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day **If you have a special request, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

Are chemicals included?The monthly service rate is inclusive of the scope of work performed, including basic chemicals needed for the proper water balance of the pool/spa on the month of service. What's included: 1. Four gallons of chlorine 2. Two gallons of acid 3. One bag of salt for salt pools All other chemicals needed will be invoiced separately.

How much do extra chemicals cost?The following chemicals are not included in your monthly service fee and will be added to your next monthly invoice upon their usage: ∙ Chlorine, liquid (quantity used over 4 gallons/month): $7.50/gallon ∙ Chlorine, tabs: $3 each ∙ Shock: $14 ∙ Algaecide: $14 ∙ Conditioner: $45

What does a maintenance service include?∙ Visually inspect for the proper function of all equipment ∙ Empty all skimmer and pump baskets ∙ Skim water surface of debris ∙ Brush tile and pool walls ∙ Clean and inspect floor cleaners ∙ Vacuum debris as needed ∙ Test and add chemicals for proper water balance ∙ Notify client of any problems that are observed on the day of service

What if I need an extra cleaning?Any extra weekly service is a fee of $25 + chemicals and it will be added to your next monthly invoice.

I have a salt water pool. How often are salt cells cleaned?If you have a saltwater pool, salt cells are cleaned every 90 days and are not included in the monthly service rate. The office will schedule this service at regular intervals.

Do you offer spa heater servicing?If you have a pool or spa heater, a 2x yearly heater service is recommended to prolong the life of the equipment and ensure safe operation. This is not included in the monthly service rate. During this service, all the components are inspected, cleaned, lubricated and adjusted. The heater is tested for safety and performance. The office will schedule this service at regular intervals.

I have an above ground fiberglass spa. How often is draining included?If you have an above ground fiberglass spa, filter cleaning is done monthly and is included in your monthly rate. Spa draining, refilling and re-cheming is done every 90 days and is not included in the monthly service rate. The office will schedule this at regular intervals.

Do you clean pool filters?Pool filters are cleaned 2x yearly at a minimum (pools with heavier use may need quarterly or even monthly cleanings) and are not included in the monthly service rate. The office will schedule this service at regular intervals.
